* * *comunque/ko'munkwe/L'avverbio comunque, quando significa in ogni caso / modo, si traduce anyway, anyhow, in any case o however, sostituibili in contesti formali da nevertheless e in contesti d'uso colloquiale da all the same o though (che va in fondo alla frase): non mi piace molto, ma lo prendo comunque = I don't like it very much - anyway / in any case / however / nevertheless / all the same, I'll take it (oppure I'll take it all the same / though). - Quando comunque si usa per concludere una frase ed equivale a insomma, per farla breve, si rende con anyway: quando uscii di casa ero molto in ritardo e c'era molto traffico; comunque, sono riuscito a prendere il treno = when I left home I was very late and there was a lot of traffic; anyway, I succeeded in catching the train. - Quando comunque è usato come congiunzione con il significato di in qualunque modo, si rende solitamente in inglese con however o whatever.
